Problem

To make it easier for product modelers to get started and access the software, a new approach is being pursued that enables a guided introduction to the software interface. This approach aims to eliminate the need for at least one week of training. These innovations not only improve user-friendliness, but also increase the attractiveness for potential new users, as getting started with the software is now more efficient and accessible.

Process

The development phase of our project began with extensive interviews with key users in order to understand their needs and requirements in detail. Based on these findings, we designed and created prototypes that served as the basis for further developments. In user tests with the key users, the prototypes were checked for their practicability and user-friendliness and the feedback received was incorporated directly into the further development process. Parallel to this, stakeholder workshops were held to collect feedback and suggestions from the relevant interest groups. The subsequent regular coordination with the project management, the development team and the sales team ensured a holistic approach to the project, taking into account technical aspects and sales requirements. Finally, the concept was presented at the company's own conference to gain further feedback from the customer base.

Project result

A guided introduction not only makes it easier to create new products, but also allows you to learn the basic structure of the software. The entry of initial data is optimized with simple steps to make the process as efficient as possible. A revised structure with new operating processes for essential functions further improves user-friendliness, while flexible component display options give users the freedom to adapt the software to their individual needs. A clear division of the selection of components enables the execution of all functions, offering different ways to complete tasks. This versatility in the operating processes helps users to adapt their way of working and use the software in a way that suits them best.
